You can generate QR Codes in all kinds of different ways, and for the most part they would be treated like any other image in OBS Studio. QR Codes can sometimes be helpful in terms of getting people to websites and lead magnets. In the example in the video we want to make sure the background appears underneath my camera. You can also click and drag them into position too. If you want to rearrange your sources, you can click on a source and use the up or down arrows to reposition them. Sources at the top of the list will appear as the first layer. OBS Studio will show you how much space is around the image to help you position things well. You can also reposition the image on the canvas itself. Right-clicking on the image on the Canvas will give you a contextual menu with a bunch of helpful options including the Transform ones that will let you to Fit to Screen, Center to screen, Center Vertically or Horizontally. Use the Browse button to find the image file on your computer. However if you are using a green screen, you can actually place some of these things behind you, some of these in front of you, are really create a sense of depth.Ĭlick on the Add (+) button in the sources If you are not using a green screen, all this images will set on top of your camera capture. If you have GIF or PNG files that contain transparency, OBS Studio will acknowledge this as well. These could be backgrounds, logos, promotional images, QR codes, whatever you like really. It can be a good idea to see how the chroma key is against a dark background and a light background to see if you need to adjust the settings further. You can adjust the settings (color type, similarity, smoothness, color spill reduction etc.) and click Close when you're happy with the results. You can give this effect a different name if you want to, but I personally would be inclined to leave it as the default 'Chroma Key.' Click OK. In the Effect Filters section, click the Plus (+) button and select Chroma Key. Here you'll have the option to add Audio/Video Filters and Effect Filters. Right-click on your camera source in the list and go to Filters. If you are using a green screen, you can remove that screen within OBS Studio. Green Screen removal: Chroma Key Filter (Optional) I need to do this for my setup as my green screen doesn't completely cover my background. If you need to crop your video camera (or any source really) simply hold down the Alt key and drag the edges in.
